Window Cleaning Techniques
We are specialists in using water fed poles to access windows of heights up to 65 feet (approx six floors). This method is one of the safest methods of cleaning windows as it eliminates the need to work at height, maintains privacy, creates minimal disruption and reduces costs.
Abseil cleaning contracts are supervised by highly trained NMS experts, all of whom are Level 3 supervisors and trained to IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards. The SMC Group abseiling team are also trained to IRATA standards. SMC Group employees are experienced in using rescue kits, fully trained and can carry out emergency first aid. Prior to an abseil cleaning contract, SMC Group carry out a full site-specific risk assessment and a method statement is provided.
SMC Group use a wide range of hydraulic platforms (widely referred to as cherry pickers )to carry out hands on traditional window cleaning in high and awkward areas where other means of access are not suitable.

We use water purified firstly at our Headquarters and again through our tanks and equipment on site during the cleaning process. This advanced four stage filtration system runs water through sediment filters, carbon filters, RO filters (Reverse Osmosis) & finally resin filters for deionising/polishing giving your glass a polished & guaranteed streak free finish. SMC Groups pure water encapsulates dirt on contact which is released with gentle agitation and rinsed away. What you are left with is a polished effect crystal clear window. SMC Group regularly test purification levels using TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) readings every 6 hours to ensure a streak free clean. By using only purified water & eliminating cleaning chemical SMC Group offer you a more effective, natural and environmentally friendly clean.
